It's hard to believe that in just a few days everyone will be back on campus and classes will begin.
We have a lot of planning and preparing to do, so I wanted to get you as much information as possible. So, I have listed several items and thoughts below, and I would love your feedback. I think the best way to hit everything is to lay it by the way things fall on the calendar. Just so you know one of my initial thoughts for this semester is for our Tuesday nights to look a little different than in the past. I think we should have one large worship night on campus each month to make it accessible for freshmen/sophomores, one dinner/development night a month, and be flexible with what we do with the other two. We can chat more about this on 8/17. We will still need to officially finalize our leadership team moving forward, which we will do in the days ahead.
Tuesday 8/17 - Planning Meeting to plan and organize - dinner will be provided - ETD 7pm
Wednesday 8/18 - 1st day of class - Do we want to be anywhere? On Campus Giveaway?
Friday 8/20 - Organizational Kickoff 3:30-7:00pm - DO WE WANT TO PLAN A FRIDAY EVENING ACTIVITY HERE (like putt putt and donuts at the beach)
ANY OTHER WELCOME WEEK IDEAS?
Tuesday 8/24 - Tentatively Dinner, Development, and Vision
Tuesday 8/31 - Tentatively BCM Worship on Campus
Mandatory Student Organization Meetings: We will need at least two people to attend one of these - dates are 8/25 @5:30, 8/26 @12:30, or 8/30 @4:30
SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER AND BEYOND
LAUNCH - this is an event for leaders, and I would like for all our leaders to attend. The date is Saturday, September 11. We will leave early in the morning and return that night. There is NO COST for you to attend.
SALT LAKE CITY VISION TRIP - I am looking at taking a group of students to Salt Lake City for a long weekend over Fall Break - the dates would be 10/8-10/11. The cost to you would be the plane ticket. All the on field costs would be covered. Currently, airfare looks to be around $300-350.
FALL RETREAT - Do we want to do one this year? If so some options included 9/17-9/19, or 10/22-10/24, or 10/20-10/31 or another weekend
